Yes it was a marvelous
trip. I am on my way home tonight and when I get
home I will tell you more of our adventures. But
you really know what visiting the desert families
and mouintain family is l.ike since you recommended
them. I think that was the best part of my trip.

...experienced, good
cars, nice friendly people. I enjoyed the fact that
the plane from Dashogus to Ashgabat was a new Boeing.
(...) Karakala and Merv were highly interesting,
fascinating, beautiful and nice, but I wished I
were given more time for time for both. Ashgabat
is funny and interesting. However, from the big
Sunday market I expected more of it. Konye Urgench
was very interesting. (...) The best guide I can
imagine. Very very good!!! He worked out everything
for me in a perfect way, his English is very very
good, he acted always very professional, experienced
and always friendly and open. His knowledge about
the country and the sights is deep. I have nothing
to complain at all. He made my stay in Turkmenistan
a wonderful and unforgettable time.

I dealt with a german
guy named David Berghof who speaks perfect English.
If you e-mail him with your predicament he will
e-mail you straight away. I found them to be the
most prompt with all CA agencies. No arsing around
and waiting for some ambigious reply.

Well, we are safely
back in boring old Britain! Thanks chiefly to you
we have had the most amazing holiday. And thanks
to all your staff, Oleg, Anton, the guides, driver
to the border etc etc who were just wonderful. Hope
is we return in October for the 10th Anniversary
celebrations - but who knows. ... But its nice to
dream........ Well, thanks a million for all you

Dear David Many thanks
for organising an outstanding trip. Everything went
like clockwork, except for my knee, from our pickup
at the airport to our departure. The trip was packed
full of interest and the scenery was quite outstanding.
My first photos are even better than I expected.
I will be sending a short & positive note to
equestrian journalists copy to you. I trust by now
that Ruth & Bridget are approaching the UK on
their way back and everything went well for them.

"We are currently
down in Australia and New Zealand until late March.
Australia is very beautiful and the people are friendly.
It is hot but not as hot as Turkmenistan so we can
still do things during the day. Keeping out of trouble.
Matt managed to catch flu in Australia so he is
currently flavour of the year with the world's bugs!!!
Really enjoyed our time in Turkmenistan and we will
definitely be back hopefully in the spring of 2002.
Tell us when is the best time to visit. Hope to
see you again in the not too distant future so that
we can finish off the second half of the trip we
had to abandon. Please keep in contact as it is
