This extended combined tour takes the traveller in a circle
covering the whole and the best of Central Asia including
the historical sites of Merv in Turkmenistan, a desert
crossing through the Turkmen sand desert "Karakum", and
visits of the all the important Uzbek sites. This moderate
adventure trip involves several long overland drives as
well as some home stays to get to know Central Asian hospitality
at its very best.
Visit 9 major historical spots of Central Asia: Tashkent,
Khiva, Kunya-Urgench,
Ashgabat,
Merv
(Mary), Bukhara, Samarkand, Tashkent, Fergana, Bishkek,
and Almaty. Duration 20 days: 8 days Uzbekistan, 5 days
Turkmenistan, 5 days Kyrgyzstan, 2 days Kazakhstan. Accommodation
4 Stars / B&B, transportation by air-conditioned vehicles

/ Urgench. Brief morning tour of Tashkent followed
by a short flight to Urgench. Tour the ancient walled
city of Khiva. |

Visiting Kunya-Urgench
we drive to
Dashoguz (Tashauz) in Turkmenistan where
we stay the night. |

Drive to the capital of Turkmenistan crossing the
infamous Karakum
Desert. |

Full day tour of Ashgabat,
Nissa
and Anau

breakfast we drive to Merv
/ Mary followed by a leisurely city tour of Mary. |

/ Bukhara. We return to Uzbekistan at Bukhara checking
into our hotel. |
